English for Academic Purposes and Science Research Writing (14 hours / 3,5 ECTS credits)
The aim of the course is to analyze Academic English (EAP, English for Academic Purposes), considered one of the so-called 'specialized languages.' These languages are used in specific contexts different from everyday communication and have distinctive grammatical, syntactic, and lexical features.
During the course, the structure of the scientific article will also be examined according to the IMRaD model (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion). The lessons will be organized as workshops, and participants will be required to produce written assignments based on the topics covered in class.
